Self-titled a blend of reggae, dub, blues, rock, groove, jam, soul, and roots, Aaron Kamm and the One Drops are a much favored find on the St. Louis live music scene. The independent three-man ensemble, who boasts Aaron Kamm crooning on vocals and guitar, Sean Raila on the drumset, and bassist Andy Lee Dorris, is expanding the reach of what they call, “improv-laced jams, dubbed out grooves, and effervescent vocals” to include live shows across the states. The band’s influences span Toots and the Maytals, The Meters, Cake, Peter Green, and Elmore James and color their full discography, which includes: the 2008 album Gnu-Gnu, the 2009 release Grow, and the band’s newest record from 2012, The Bomb and the Beast – all of which can be sampled on the threesome’s website.
Playing live two to three nights a week in the St. Louis area, there’s no shortage of opportunity to see these boys jam. You can find the full calendar of upcoming shows below.
