New Album Release: Tropidelic "Here in the Heights"

Tropidelic is a well-oiled machine. A six-piece band from Cleveland, Ohio, Tropidelic are like a fine wine getting better with age. The band has a number of albums to date including “Heavy is the Head” released in 2017. The new album out today “Here In The Heights”, released through Ineffable Music Group, is one you should not sleep on. Tropidelic refuses to stick to just one genre which makes listening to them so exciting. From track to track it’s like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. Ranging from reggae, funk, hip-hop, metal, rock and more. You can tell the band were paying very close attention to detail creating this album. Many guest’s appearances grace “Here in the Heights” and all are so well placed in their respective songs. Wookiefoot on "Icarus" is the second song on the album and set such a wonderful tone musically and lyrically. The amazing Angelo Moore of Fishbone does what he does best when he lays down his verse in "Good Times". Bumpin Uglies, Little Stranger, Ballyhoo! And Zach Deputy also appear on the album. What I enjoy so much about the album is how diverse it is. Hitting such a wide spectrum of music the band never loses focus and it all comes together so well. Stand out tracks for me are Bad One, The Works ft. Howi Spangler of Ballyhoo!, and Undefined. It is fitting that the album is 10 tracks deep and I am not shy to say this is a 10 out 10 record.
