Born and raised on the far south coast of New South Wales in Tathra, Australia, Kai Otton qualified for the ASP World Tour after four hard years on the ASP WQS, but entered the elite ranks as somewhat of a dark-horse in 2006. Despite the lack of media hype, the dedicated goofy-footer’s consistency continued on the elite ranks, notching a Top 15 finish on his rookie year.

Otton’s calculated backhand surfing and powerful forehand prowess have made him a consistent threat in every event on the ASP Dream Tour season and although 2010 saw Kai plagued with injuries, look for a healthy and more experienced Kai Otton to return with flare in 2011.
