Young Brazilian Jadson Andre stormed on to the elite stage in 2010, proving he could hang with the world’s best by consistently punting his way though heats with signature forehand aerials that mark the forefront of the progressive movement in competitive surfing. In addition to his above-the-lip performances, Andre stood tall among his rookie class as the only first-timer to win an ever last year by taking out the Billabong Pro in Santa Catarina, Brazil over Kelly Slater in front of his adoring home crowd, an achievement that eventually led Andre to an impressive 14th place finish on his first year on Tour.
This humble Brazilian is one competitor who is constantly looking to refine himself as a professional in and out of the water. From polishing his English to sharpening his backhand attack, Andre’s dedicated approach to everything that life throws at him should see the passionate Brazilian climb the ranks in 2011.
