Jake's Report

From Jacob Hemphill of SOJA:

The shows have been great.  we're selling out everything.  before the tour, me and Marley talked a lot about the tour.  i mean like two years ago a lot.  as it got closer, we could feel an energy building up.  i'm glad we weren't let down.  moreover, the fans are getting an amazing show.  it's soja, rebelution, and zion i.  each one of the bands alone is worth the ticket price.  its like a mini festival for twenty some dollars.  badass.

Theres a lot of brotherly love, crazy times, and good parties after the shows.  we always find a good excuse to have a party.  the soja bus and the rebelution bus are right next to each other.  its inevitable.

We've gotten the chance to get to know zumbi and amp live from zion I, as well as their boy holiday and manager tim.  all really cool guys.  holiday can sing his ass off, and he and our trumpet player......

The B Foundation

When I first listened to "Trouble Standing" years ago one thing came to mind, Sublime style music is back!! For good reason this album never leaves my rotation, kind of like 40oz to Freedom. If that definition isn't enough then you get a few well known artists giving their endorsement on the album. Give it a shot and take a listen above. You may like what you hear.

The opening song, “Recession”, had me dancing before the lyrics even started and is more on the traditional roots side of things. The lyrics cast attention towards....

Jon Wayne and the Pain

Jon Wayne and the Pain have really put themselves in a league of their own with there second release Follow Through. I cant tell you how refreshing it is to hear an album that doesn't follow the typical mapped out structure for an album in this scene. Jons lyrics alone stand on a new level that is something that can elevate this scene to new levels. Lending their talents to the album are a few of Slightly Stoopids members Christofer “C Money” Welter and Daniel “DELA” Dela Cruz. If your looking for an album that blends Sublime, Long Beach Short Bus, and Slightly Stoopid rolled into one then look no further.
